This policy explains what information The Fit Index collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you. It was last updated on 18 July 2026.
Information we collect
You can browse the public website without creating an account. If you have access to the private Studio, we process the account details needed to sign you in, secure your account, and provide the Studio service. This may include your email address, display name, role, authentication details, and content you upload.
Like most websites, our hosting and security providers process basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser or device type, requested pages, and the time of the request. This information is used to deliver and protect the website.
Analytics
First-party analytics are enabled by default. They help us understand which Drops and Items are viewed, saved, shared, or opened. We use a pseudonymous session identifier and do not use analytics to record purchases or payment information. You can disable this tracking immediately using the controls below.
Raw analytics events are kept for up to 90 days. Aggregated statistics may be kept for up to 24 months. Disabling analytics stops future public analytics events from this browser; it also stops TikTok attribution and the current-viewer presence count. You can change the setting at any time.
Public pages also use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to measure page traffic and performance. These hosting-level measurements are separate from the first-party controls below, remain active when first-party analytics are disabled, and are not loaded inside the private Studio.
Analytics are currently enabled by default.
Cookies and local storage
The private Studio uses necessary authentication cookies. The public website uses local browser storage for saved Drops, a pseudonymous analytics session, and your analytics preference. Saved Drops stay on that browser and are not linked to a public account. You can remove them from the Saved page or clear them through your browser settings.
How we use information
We use information to operate the website, provide Studio access, keep accounts and content secure, remember your choices, understand website performance, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Who receives information
We use service providers for hosting, database storage, authentication, and website security. They process information only as needed to provide those services. When you follow a product or social-media link, the destination website receives information under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep information
Studio account information and uploaded content are kept while they are needed to operate the account and maintain the website. Security and hosting records follow the retention periods of the relevant service provider. Information stored in your browser remains there until you remove it or clear your browser data.
Your choices and rights
You can disable optional analytics, remove saved Drops, and clear browser storage at any time. Studio users can ask the site administrator to correct or delete their account information. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the use of your personal information.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee complete security, so you should use a strong password and keep your Studio login details private.
Children
The Fit Index is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the public website.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the website or legal requirements change. The latest version will always appear on this page. Contact the site administrator if you have a privacy question or want to make a request about your information.
